Bruno Pinheiro
PhD Student

Bruno Pinheiro is a graduate in Biomedical Sciences (2017) by the University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS - CESPU) and a Master in Cell and Molecular Biology by the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Porto (FCUP). He completed his master's degree in 2019 by researching the possibility of using AIP56 - an AB toxin secreted by the Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida that plays a role in the infection of sea bass and other marine aquaculture fish - as a platform for antigen delivery, under the supervision of Nuno dos Santos. Currently, he's a PhD student of the MCBiology doctoral program, working on a project that aims to build an antigen delivery platform based on AIP56 and other homologous AB toxins, under the supervision of Nuno dos Santos, and co-supervision of Ana do Vale and Prof. Jorge Azevedo.
