Having completed a BSc in Biochemistry at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia and a MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine in a partnership with the Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Southern Denmark, I've continued working as a Research Assistant at the latter institution. The 3-year project focused on finding candidate genes involved in breast cancer resistance. After this period I returned to Portugal starting on a MSCA project at i3S to investigate the ethical implications of genome editing. This project is part of a network - IMGENE - which envisages to improve genome editing efficiency.
