Manuel Correia holds a BSc in Biology (2019), and in 2022 completed the MSc in Applications in Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology (MABBS), from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). Currently, Manuel is a PhD Student in the doctoral program in Molecular and Cell Biology (MCbiology) (ICBAS/FCUP/i3S). His work focuses on engineering the cyanobacterium Synechocystis to optimize the production of heterologous compatible solutes.
