My name is Maurizio Gulino and I am a MsC graduate in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Genova.
During the traineeship for my master thesis I collaborated on a project at the Department of Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology, Genetics and Maternal-Infant Sciences (DINOGMI) of Genova. The goal of the project was the synthesis and biochemical characterization of a new competitive inhibitor of creatine kinase, (Boc)2-creatine.
From October 2016 to March 2017 I’ ve worked at 3B’s Research Group in Guimarães in the characterization of a new class of injectable hyaluronic acid hydrogels for endodontic tissue regeneration, under the scope of an Ersasmus+ scholarship in collaboration with the university of Minho.
From November 2016 to april 2018 i have been a PhD student in Neurosciences in the University of Genoa. The goal of the project was th synthesis of creatine derivatives as neuroprotective agents.
