I am a nephrologist at Hospital de Braga and NephroCare Arcos de Valdevez, Minho, Portugal. I graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2005. I did my Nephrology residency at Hospital São Teotónio-Viseu and gained my specialist degree in 2012. I was an ERA-EDTA research fellow at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2013, and from then on continued to collaborate with their Complement Research Group on the topic of Complement, Inflammation and Kidney disease. I am currently a PhD candidate at this Institution.
