Joana Saavedra

PhD Student
Graduated in Biochemistry at Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP) and Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) in 2018 and master in Molecular and Cellular Biology at University of Aveiro in 2020. She had a fellowship by FCT (9 months) to study diffusible oligomers of alpha-synuclein and ataxin-3 as drug repurposing opportunity for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and a fellowship (4 months) in a project entitled “Beyond the cellular interactions between neurons in Alzheimer's Disease”, financed by Fundação Millennium bcp. Currently she is a PhD student at ICBAS in the doctoral program of Molecular and Cellular Biology.
