Susana Maria Sampaio Moreira Norton, was born on 21st, February 1969, in Porto. She had her degree in Medicine from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar in 1993, Oporto. She did the General Internal ship in Santo António General Hospital from 1994 to 1995. She was nephrology resident at S. João Hospital from 1996-2000. During its resident period her preferential interest were renal transplantation and renal pathology (with special interest in electron microscopy), areas that also is dedicated today. PhD student in the Faculty of Medicine of Porto Medical School, in the transplant area. Member of the college of Nephrology since 2001. Nephrology assistant from 2001 to 2003 in the Hospital Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro. Nephrology Assistant at S. João Hospital since 2003. At the present she is Kidney Transplant Unit Coordenator of S. João Hospital. Graduated Assistant since January, 2015. Internship Supervisor of Nephrology. Supervisor of Master in Medicine. Author and co-author of more than 50 oral presentations, lectures and national and international posters. Author and co-author of several publications in the form of scientific articles in national and international journals. Participated as principal investigator and co-investigator in several national and international clinical studies. Since 1998, Volunteer Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine of Porto, for the 5th year of Medicine. Since 2012, that she is collaborating in the clinical nutrition master, lecturing the class ?Kidney Transplant ? complications and interactions? From 2011, she is an expert consultant in the area of transplant in the Portuguese Institute for blood and transplant (IPST) Member of the fiscal border of the Portuguese Society of Transplantation form 2005-2009, From 2009-2013 she was Member of the Direction Board, , and currently she is the vice president. Coordinator of the Northern Region of the Renal biopsies Register of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology. Member of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, European Society of Nephrology and Transplantation and the Spanish Club of Nephropathology.
