Kaoutar Chattahy

Kaoutar Chattahy is currently a Master research fellow in the Microenvironments for New Therapies (MinT) research group at i3S as part of the RESTORE project. She earned her Bachelor of Biochemistry-Genetics-Microbiology at the Faculty of Science and Technology of University HASSAN I Settat, Morocco in 2017 and her Master’s degree in Bio-engineering from the same institution in 2019.

Kaoutar completed her Master's thesis under the supervision of Dr. Sofia Lima and Professor Salette Reis following her participation in the ERASMUS program at the Faculty of Pharmacy- University of Porto, Portugal. During her thesis, she undertook various tasks including the development of nanoemulsions for topical delivery of bioactive molecules, particularly the polyphenols extracted from pomegranate peel as part of a project in collaboration with the Cherifian office of phosphates OCP, Morocco.
