I am a biomedical engineer. I obtained a B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering at Izmir Katip Celebi University, Turkey. As a biomedical engineer in my undergraduate studies, I mastered solid phase peptide synthesis and their functional characterization in monolayer and hydrogel-based 3D cell culture settings. I also experienced to prepare, lead and conduct an independent undergraduate proposal funded by national scientific and technological council. Additionally, I participated in international exchange program in Belgium and extended my scientific vision.

Then, I obtained MSc. in Molecular Biology & Genetic within Therapeutic Bioengineering laboratory at Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center. My master thesis was focused ondesigning and fabricatation of highly controllable in vitro microfluidic chips for cornea organoid culture and synthesize polymer-based hydrogels to mimic ocular microenvironment.

Now, I am a Marie-Curie Early Stage Researcher at i3S where I will work on the development of 3D microfluidic based models for testing innervation of engineered microtissues for medical applications.
