Ana Catarina Vieira de Castro is a junior researcher at the Laboratory Animal Science group of the i3S, University of Porto. Her academic background includes a BSc in Applied Biology and a PhD in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, both obtained at the University of Minho. Her research interests encompass animal behavior, welfare and ethics, with a special emphasis on dogs and dog-human relationships. Recently, she has focused her work in the efficacy and welfare impact of dog training methods.
