PhD Student

I graduated in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in 2022. In 2024, I completed my Master's degree in Medicine and Molecular Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), where I developed my master's thesis project investigating the role of microbiome-derived metabolites in gastric cancer progression.

I am currently a PhD student in Biomedicine at FMUP, where I am continuing this research as part of my doctoral thesis. My work focuses on unravelling the role of microbiome-derived metabolites in gastric cancer progression, with a particular focus on kynurenine and its potential to modulate tumour biology.
