Ricardo Ribeiro holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) and a Master's degree in Neurobiology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). He also holds a Postgraduate Degree in Scientific Illustration from an association of FCUP and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), with an interest in science communication and the use of visual tools to make scientific knowledge more accessible and understandable. He previously worked as a researcher at i3S in the Nerve Regeneration group. Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Neurosciences at FMUP and is a member of the Synapse Biology group at i3S, where he works to identify the cell surface proteome of astrocytes in synaptic compartments.
