Rebecca Abati holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Milan and a Master’s degree in Neurobiology from the University of Pavia. She is currently part of the Synapse Biology Group at the i3S institute, where she is looking into the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate brain function, with a particular focus on astrocytes.

She is passionate about advancing knowledge in fundamental neuroscience and believes in the importance of translational research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases.
