Sara Meireles, MD, is a Hospital Assistant in Medical Oncology at Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João (Porto, Portugal) since 2014 and she is a member of Urological Cancer Multidisciplinary Group and Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Cancer Multidisciplinary Group. She received her medical degree in Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute - University of Porto in 2007 and she completed her residency in Medical Oncology in 2014 at Centro Hospitalar Universitário São João. She also did a training program in The Gastrointestinal Unit and the Molecular Therapy Research Unit (phase I and II clinical trials) at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO – Barcelona). She is an Invited Assistant in Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. She obtained the European ESMO certification and ICH/GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certification in 2014. She is a member of European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Portuguese Oncology Society (SPO) and she has participated as principal investigator and co-investigator in some international multicenter clinical trials. Her scientific presentations and publications have mainly focused on urological and gastrointestinal areas.
