Adriana Rodrigues is graduated in Biology and completed her PhD degree in Biomedicine at the Faculty of Medicine from University of Porto in 2013. Currently she is a post-doc fellow from FCT and her research is related to the study of the melanocortins signaling in obesity, being particularly interested in a new molecular mechanism in which fat cells are stimulated to convert lipids into energy, namely the conversion of white adipocytes into brown adipocytes, a hot topic in the treatment of obesity.
