B.Sc. in Pathologic Anatomy (2007), ESTSP, Porto; Master in Molecular and Cellular Biology, University of Aveiro (2009); PhD in Biomedical Sciences, University of Aveiro (2014). My PhD thesis focused on the characterization of LAP1 protein interactions and study of the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in DYT1 dystonia. I joined the UnIGENe team at IBMC in February 2015 and I am now working as a Junior Researcher in the project “Identification of new causative genes in spinocerebellar degenerations by combination of whole genome scan, next-generation sequencing and biological validation in vitro and in vivo”.
