I finished my degree in Microbiology in 2009. I completed the Microbiology Master in November 2011. During the first year, I had the opportunity to join a project regarding the characterization of new virulence factors of Listeria monocytogenes, based on which I performed my Master thesis. I gained experience in multiple techniques of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microbiology and Immunology. During my Ph.D. I had identified and characterized SRs involved in the host interaction with Listeria and to further investigate the role of such interactions with bacterial ligands in human listeriosis.
