Vanessa finished the doctoral degree in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology applied to Health Sciences, under the supervision of Jorge Ferreira, Paulo Aguiar and Matthieu Piel, in 2022, at the University of Porto (ICBAS/FFUP). She finished an MSc degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, in 2015, at the University of Aveiro and a BSc degree in Pathologic, Cytologic and Thanatologic Anatomy, in 2012, at the School of Allied HealthSciences - Polytechnic Institute of Porto.
Since 2022, Vanessa is a Junior Researcher working on the project “Spatiotemporal dissection of nuclear mechanics in the maintenance of chromosomal stability” at the Epithelial Polarity & Cell Division laboratory (i3S-UP).
Vanessa has published articles in specialized magazines and gave oral presentations and presented posters in national and international conferences. She received 2 best talk awards.
