Vanessa Nunes

Vanessa holds a BSc degree in Pathologic, Cytologic and Thanatologic Anatomy from School of Allied Health Sciences and a MSc degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Aveiro. Her background includes training in both clinical (IPATIMUP, HB and CHP) and research contexts (Basic & Clinical Research on Iron Biology Lab/IBMC and Evolutionary Systems Biology Lab/IBMC).

Currently, she is studying the centrosome-mediated spindle assembly mechanism, under the supervision of Jorge Ferreira and Helder Maiato in the Chromosome Instability and Dynamics Lab (IBMC/i3s). She is also a PhD student of the BiotechHealth PhD programme and a Yscience collaborator.
