Marta Silva

Marta Silva graduated in Biology from the University of Aveiro in 2004. Her doctoral studies focused on the study of a Leishmania specific gene involved in the metabolism regulation of the parasite and were carried out at the IBMC and the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde, UK, under the supervision of Prof. Anabela Cordeiro da Silva and Prof. Graham H. Coombs. She received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Biochemistry from the University of Porto in March 2012. She joined our team in 2013 for her postdoctoral studies on cytokinesis.
