Course Building and Leading Research Teams 
5, 6, 11, 13 and 31 May 2021 (9:00-13:00) | Online

 

Leadership in research is an increasingly essential skill to successfully meet performance expectations and to foster the development of the next generation of researchers (had supervised at least one master). This course will equip research leaders with the knowledge base to effectively build, manage and inspire a research group in the academic enterprise.
Course held in collaboration with FPCEUP.

Requirements: Laptop
Target audience: Researchers responsible for leading and managing people in the development of scientific research projects and preferably with at least one supervising experience.
The selection of participants will be carried out based on a questionnaire, to be completed at the time of registration in order to assess the suitability of the course to their experience and expectations.

Speakers

Filipa Ferreira 
Master in Psychology from Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP) and Postgraduate in People Management from Porto Business School, holds an Executive MBA from the same business school. 
Collaborates as an external consultant in the Consultancy Service in Work Psychology at FPCEUP, works as an independent consultant in Human Resources and is a lecturer in Porto Business School Executive Programs. 
With over 12 years of experience in People Management, developed her career in retail, health and banking sectors. Led corporate and business teams, having experience in employer branding, talent acquisition, organizational culture, employee experience, leader-led development, learning and development, career management and succession planning, internal and external communication and strategic project management. 
As a researcher, she developed works and publications in vocational exploration and development area. 

 

Maria Antónia Cadilhe 
Researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto and Executive MBA Professor at Porto Business School.
Guest lecturer at NOVA SBE.
Director of Career Design Program at Porto Business School. Stanford LifeDesign Studio certified.
Member of the Psychology Center of the University of Porto and of the International Scientific Committee of Laboreal Journal. Holds a degree and a master’s degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto. 
The main research interests are focused on the areas of development and implementation of intervention methodologies throughout the individual’s life cycle – from basic education to the transition to retirement.
Between 2015 and 2019 took the leadership of Sonae MC’s Talent, Learning & Culture and Communication areas, having previously been Director of Talent Management and Development and Sonae, as well as Corporate Director of Human Resources at Mota-Engil Group (2006 – 2013). As a consultant ad Deloitte HayGroup (2002-2006), developed and implemented solutions regarding HR strategy definition, Leadership Development and Transformation, International Mobility and Age Diversity Management. 

 

Marta Santos 
Teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. 
She has developed projects of scientific consultancy, in a national and international context, on training, skills and professional development.
Member of the Psychology Center of the University of Porto and of the Board of Laboreal Journal, of international and interdisciplinary nature.
President of the Pedagogical Council of FPCEUP and member of the Academic Council of Porto Business School.

Course Cancelation
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the course in case of an insufficient number of participants, organizational reasons, for other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the course impossible. The organizer shall immediately inform the pre-registered participants of such changes.
