REMODEL Summer School:
Next-Generation Organoids and organ-on-chip

REMODEL Summer School is organized by the REMODEL consortium. 
Its aim is to present state-of-the-art science around organoid model systems, covering the most recent works involving organoids in 3D microenviroments, genetic engineering of organoids, and microphysiologic systems. 
This is a pioneer training approach that will combine lectures by worldwide renowned scientists and one hands-on practical Master Class, By AZAR innovations, where you can learn about organs-on-chip and how to operate with these systems.
The ethical aspects behind the organoids bioengineered will also be explored with the support of bioethics experts.

The call for abstracts will be open until the 31^st of July.
Participants with accepted abstracts must complete the registration in the early bird period or the work will not be considered.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION, SELECTION, AND NOTIFICATION PROCESS

Please note that the organization of REMODEL Summer School reserves the right to the final determination of the method of abstract presentation.
Abstracts will be only accepted in English, and have to be submitted electronically. Abstracts submitted by post, fax, or email will not be accepted.

Selection: The REMODEL Summer School organization reserves the right to accept or reject any submitted abstract. We will select abstracts for oral and poster presentations. 

Notification: You will receive a notification of acceptance, request of modification, or abstract rejection via email.  It is the responsibility of the submitting author to inform all other authors of the status of the abstract. 

All presenters are expected to cover their own travel and lodging expenses and pay the conference registration fees. If the entire registration fee is not paid by the deadline, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn and will not be presented or published.

It is necessary to agree on publishing the abstract in the conference materials. 

Publication of abstracts: All accepted abstracts will be published in the booklet.

CANCELATION POLICY
In case of cancelation, the registration fee will not be refunded. 
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the course in case of an insufficient number of participants or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the course.
i3S reserves the right to close registrations before the pre-announced closing dates if applications exceed the places available for the course.

It is possible to register without submitting an abstract. 
There are limited vacancies in this Summer School. Please note that the following criteria will be applied if registrations exceed the maximum number of places. 
 

Selection criteria

The aim of REMODEL project is to equip early-stage researchers (ERS) with the scientific skills to use organoids and advanced in vitro model systems to address research questions in doctoral and postdoctoral research projects. The training and mentoring of ESR in using organoids and advanced in vitro models is a keystone in this project. Therefore, priority will be given to the registration of authors submitting an abstract. 
REMODEL Summer School organization will select the abstracts using these criteria:

1. Early-stage researchers (up to post-doc level) with accepted abstracts;
2. Researchers with accepted abstracts;
3. ESR/Ph.D. students in the field;
4. One author per lab/ Unit;
5. Registration date

Registration fees: 
 

The registration fee covers the course materials and course meals.

Social dinner: 40€
Participants who wish to participate in the social dinner must register. The social dinner payment is not included in the registration fee.

Certificate
A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course to participants that meet the following: attendance in 90% of the theoretical classes; attendance in all practical and theoretical-practical classes.
