Session 6: Grant writing practical exercise feedback: My PhD project in ten sentences (Optional module)

Are you thinking about a postdoc and you want to learn about grant writing to prepare your future applications?
Do you want to analyze your PhD project from another perspective to help you to prepare your final manuscript and defense?
If you answer yes to one of the above questions, please register to this last session of the workshop.  We will provide you with one-week access to the online Grant writing material from Parkerderrington to help you to develop skills relevant to writing research-grant applications.
In this approach the most important skill is the skill of writing key sentences. The PIPPIN key sentences are a distinctive set of sentences that create the framework for a project grant. The key sentence approach can be applied more generally in any form of writing where you want to communicate the essence of your message to people who do not have time to read the details.
You will use your PhD project as raw material for writing key sentences. You need to divide the project into work packages and assemble the raw material you need to write about the work packages.
In this last session of the workshop we will discuss about your experience with the exercise and receive feedback on your PhD project key sentences.
Timeframe: It is likely to take you 6-8 hours of concentrated individual work, probably best spread over several days
