Flow Cytometry: From basic knowledge to advanced applications – 2nd edition

18-22 March 2024 | i3S, Porto

Flow cytometry is a fluorescence-based that allows rapid multi-parametric analysis of single cells or particles in suspension. In the last 30 years, flow cytometry has hugely evolved becoming powerful tool prevalent in diverse research fields including immunology, cancer biology and molecular biology. This workshop intends to provide a solid understanding of the principles and applications in Flow Cytometry, combining the theoretical and practical sessions. Applicants may register in basic theoretical training modules, or select the complete training including theoretical and practical sessions.

Course Coordination: Catarina Meireles, i3S; Emília Cardoso, i3S e Alexandre Salvador, Enzifarma

Target audience: The course is designed to Scientists (researchers, students, medical doctors, technicians, engineers) with notions of Flow Cytometry

Course duration: Basic (first 2 days) - 14 hours; Advanced (last 3 days) - 21 hours; Basic + Advanced (5 days) - 35 hours

Course language: English

Certificate: The certificate of participation will be sent to participants who attend the entire duration of the registration category they have selected (Basic; Advanced or Basic+Advanced).

Admission criteria: Pre-registrations will be confirmed and those registered for the Advanced category must have clear notions of the basics in Flow cytometry.
