6th EDITION

Introduction to data analysis and image
processing with MATLAB

4-7 May 2020 | ONLINE COURSE
i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, Universidade do Porto

Given the current status quo with the COVID-19 pandemic and the necessary quarantine, many i3S Advanced Training courses had to be cancelled/ postponed. Quarantine does not mean however that our will and interest in learning new skills have to go standstill.
Taking advantage of its specific nature, the 6th edition of the course “Introduction to data analysis and image processing with MATLAB” has been reorganized and rescheduled to be offered as an ONLINE COURSE.
The online course will be provided through the i3S Moodle platform and will rely on online classes for presenting concepts and exercises sessions.

ABOUT:

Quantification is an essential component in every scientific domain, and the ability to extract more information from the data is a fundamental asset. This is an introductory "hands-on" a course where the concepts and techniques will be explored directly in the MATLAB environment. MATLAB is a well-established tool in scientific and technical computing, with key advantages such as being extremely versatile/powerful and easy to learn. This course is especially suited for people engaged in research wanting to start using MATLAB in the context of scientific data analysis and image processing (quantification). Participants are invited to bring their own data and an analysis problem of interest to be addressed in the course (as a project), with the help of the tutors.
