Facilities Management and Maintenance Unit

The Facilities Management and Maintenance Unit supervises the design, construction and renovation of facilities, coordination and space assignments, furniture and equipment acquisition, as well as short and long term change planning and budget supervision. It is also responsible for the maintenance of all building systems, including gas, water, plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sterilization, as well as measurement and control technology, and complete accessories, furnishings and furniture in laboratories. On top of everything, the department develops special laboratory equipment, machinery and all kinds of customized solutions researchers may need for their laboratories, while also repairing laboratory equipment with mechanical faults.
