Dalila Pedro concluded in 2007 her 4-year Licentiate's degree in Applied Biology at University of Minho, Portugal, during which she had an internship that resulted in the thesis "Evaluation of the effects on cellular proliferation in the intestinal epithelial using molecular markers in a pre-tumoral rat model". In 2009, she finished her Master's degree in Molecular Genetics at University of Minho, with the master's thesis "Chemopreventive effects of Salvia officinalis tea in a rodent colon cancer induced model". In 2015, she obtained her PhD in Molecular and Environmental Biology at University of Minho, with the thesis "Diet in the promotion or prevention of colorectal cancer". During these years, she also participated in other research work, resulting in jounal papers and oral and poster presentations in international and national conferences. In March 2015, Dalila joined INEB as a research technician, a position she currently holds at I3S.
