Marta Teixeira Pinto
Team Coordinator

Marta Teixeira Pinto (MT Pinto) is responsible for the i3S Scientific Platform in vivo CAM assays provides custom-made in vivo assays using the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model.

MT Pinto graduated in Biochemistry (FCUP, 1999), completed her MSc degree in Neurosciences (FMUL, 2001) and obtained her PhD in Human Biology (FMUP, 2008). MT Pinto joined Ipatimup as an Investigator (Ciência2008) of the Cancer Genetics Group and was mainly dedicated to study cancer angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis, using an animal model that fulfills the 3Rs principals. After setting up the laboratory and implementing several important assays, MT Pinto established the platform in 2012.

MT Pinto also developed skills and training in entrepreneurship, innovation , IP protection, science communication, science policy and science  management throughout her scientific career.

MT Pinto is author in 44 publications in several topics, having more than 1250 citations and h-Index of 21.
