Filipe Santos Silva holds a Ph.D. in Human Biology and a Master's in Oncobiology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He leads the Public Awareness of Cancer Unit at IPATIMUP and is a member of the Communication Unit at I3S. Affiliate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and guest researcher at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center - University of Nebraska. President of the EACE - European Association for Cancer Education, member of the Executive Council of the AACE - American Association for Cancer Education, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Cancer Education. Consultant in the area of ​​innovation collaborates with national and international courts in the field of scientific dissemination. It has 70 publications in indexed international journals with 2,145 citations (h-index 25). He coordinated several projects of ​​basic research (mucins and oncogenesis) and projects for cancer prevention education.
