Filipe Santos Silva holds a Ph.D. in Human Biology and a Master's in Oncobiology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He leads the Public Awareness of Cancer Unit at IPATIMUP and is a member of the Communication Unit at I3S. Affiliate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and guest researcher at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center - University of Nebraska. President of the EACE - European Association for Cancer Education, member of the Executive Council of the AACE - American Association for Cancer Education, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Cancer Education. Consultant in the area of innovation collaborates with national and international courts in the field of scientific dissemination. It has 70 publications in indexed international journals with 2,145 citations (h-index 25). He coordinated several projects of basic research (mucins and oncogenesis) and projects for cancer prevention education.
