Where Ideas Grow
Isabel Castro
Junior Researcher
Isabel Pereira-Castro holds a degree in Biology, a master in Molecular Oncology and a PhD in Biomedicine by the University of Porto. During her Master and PhD studies she developed her research in IPATIMUP where she studied the function of a novel Wnt pathway member in vertebrate tumourigenesis and the evolution and regulation of two overlapping genes. Currently she is a Junior Researcher in the Gene Regulation group, where she is dissecting the molecular mechanisms controlling alternative polyadenylation in human T cells.
