Tamara has a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica, and a MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Université Paris Cité and PSL Université Paris with a specialization in Biomaterials and Biodevices.
Currently, she is a PhD student attending the Doctoral Programme in Biomedical Sciences at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar from University of Porto.
Her research consists on developing a 3D platform to model gastric stromal-epithelial interactions. This project is part of the TOP-GUT doctoral network under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Funding.
