Ana Xavier de Carvalho
Principal Researcher
Ana Carvalho graduated in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. She did her doctoral studies on mitosis with Prof. Bill Earnshaw at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology in Edinburgh, UK. Her postdoctoral work focused on the study of cytokinesis and was carried out in Prof. Karen Oegema's group at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in San Diego, USA. In 2012, she moved to the Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology in Porto as a Principal Investigator.
