The i3S Advanced Training Unit (ATU) offers continuous, professional and post-graduate training in several research and support areas. The unit works together with i3S scientific personnel to program advanced, high-quality and skilled training directed to academic and industry researchers, PhD students, technicians and other members of the scientific community. Though courses and workshops' main topics are biomedical and life sciences, a wide range of disciplines is covered. At the moment, the catalog includes courses on Laboratory Animal Science, Advanced Light Microscopy, Statistical Analysis of Biological Data, Biomolecular Interactions, Biosciences Screening, Cancer Research, among others. Some of our training activities have been organized in collaboration with EMBL and EMBO. ATU also coordinates the only Laboratory Animal Science course in Portugal with international FELASA accreditation.
