The Human Resources department acts as a mediator between the institution and its employees, aligning their interests and contributing to the Institute's mission and objectives, through the development and enhancement of its human capital.  

We work closely with the Medicine, Hygiene and Safety at Work, Responsible Conduct in Research and Career Development Units.  

We seek to disseminate good human resource management practices that extend to the research teams of each project, promoting the quality of the working environment at i3S.  We support all members of the community from the moment they join, seeking to help make i3S an institution recognized for the quality of its working conditions and academic and scientific progression.  

i3S was awarded the European Union's European Human Resources Excellence in Research Award (HRS4R) in January 2024.
